I've thought that the "Pumped Up Kicks" song could be altered with different lyrics to make it useful for schools. Specifically, they could make it about the causes and outcome of the American Revolution. The first audible lyrics could be "George Washington's my name" in place of "Robert's got a quick hand", and for the second half, you would have "Here we are at Yorktown" in place of "Daddy works a long day". And here's what the main chorus would sound like:

"Now you listen up, greedy Redcoat Brits
You'd better run, better run, outrun my gun
Now you listen up, greedy Redcoat Brits
You'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet"

Both songs would have the same theme-the theme of standing up for yourself and not putting up with abuse/mistreatment/unfairness from others.
