We always want to get film or a picture of them doing brazen things and behaving like sociopaths so we tend to subconsciously encourage it because we actually enjoy it. As a person who used to have a Turkish Van that lived 19 years and currently has a Turkish Angora you kind of just enjoy their blatant disregard for our authority and enjoy the delusion they have that they're the overlords. Oddly anger can happen much easier with either mutt cats or other breeds with bad behavior whereas with Angoras the anger doesn't happen as quickly & their lunatic charm melts it pretty quick. You tend to get scared they're dead somewhere if they're not being mischievous turds. My angora actually purrs and enjoys getting his insulin shot and even blood sugar ear prick tests. Vet had a look of utter shock when I told her he didn't mind & purred. She took a urine sample from him by sucking it straight from his bladder with a syringe & he didn't care. He doesn't mind shaving either. He got poop stuck in his hair recently & it was tough to get out. I shaved his butt while he purred. This isn't unusual for the breed. Rusty was the Turkish van & also a character that sat up & begged & moved paws up & down like he was praying. He got what he wanted often. He was dramatic emotionally & took tantrums when you held him on his back which he hated. Max is the angora & not just a lunatic breed but an orange underside & bottom of paws male so double nut job. A Tonkinese/Snowshoe with Gigantism/Acromegaly skeleton mix & a pure Bombay who's a velcro cat that stalks me & disciplines me when I talk to other cats.

From your history, I can see you are a kind person
I haven't had a cat for many years - The one I had was a kitten from a farm - effectively it was feral and not domesticated at all, He just bit and scratched. That was 50 years ago.
I was a dog person for nearly 30 years. I only had English Pointers and they all had different personalities. One had no problem at the vets. Another was just put up with things whereas the other had to be dragged into the premisis and required a muzzle guard. I miss them

Yeah I had dogs in the past as well. A Shih Tzu but he died in '91 at only 3 years old. My psychopathic pedophile dad abused every animal we ever had & to shut him up in the middle of the night when he'd bark from the bathroom he'd put him in to keep him from pooping on the floor, he'd punch him in the face. My dad lived like a filthy pig so why he cared if he pooped on the carpet never made sense. When I was staying with mom on the weekend he called at 1;30 am with a sob story of him chasing the car when he came home from somewhere & it ran him over. Next day I went there and there is no way that dog was run over by a car plus my dad never really went out late and that was the time of night he'd bark to get out. That didn't hit me until my 30's that what happened was he opened the door to punch him & hit too hard & broke his neck or a brain bleed. He made up the story. Cats were always able to dodge his crap pretty well. The town I'm from is cursed and hexed & I've had many experiences with haunted places & it's a billion % real. Dark past but much learned! There's some psychopath in Columbus Oh where I live now killing cats in the streets. Likely the gangs invited in by our useless government. People who do that make my blood boil on a high level.

There are no words that I can say to express how sorry I feel about your past, Hopefully, there is someone out there for you now.
Even though I live in the UK, I do follow the news in your part of the world. Remember that governments change, sometimes for the better 🤞
Sometimes I think the only reason I get up in the morning, is fear of missing out on the insanity of the world - which I like to contribute to and, of course, posting stuff on the internet,
