Practically I always considered Avatar and anime, when I was younger but that was just because it looked so much like most of the other older anime is out there, and it was so heavily influenced by Asian shit. that I had convinced myself that it was anime. but unfortunately now it has to be made in some sort of Asian country rather than America to be considered anime

Now arguably some people might just say the anime is a Japanese thing because it's the Japanese word for animation, but then again we're out here calling Korean anime, anime. same thing goes with Chinese anime. I mean they do have different official titles for what they're actually called in their respective countries but we as a whole have apparently decided that it should all be just put under the anime thing cuz it runs in the same style

And that's where the argument that anime is literally just cartoons comes from because literally anime is just the Japanese word for animation. which would translate to meaning practically all animes that we have seen is literally just Japanese cartoons. and people who say that technically have a point. but I don't like listening to that, because theres so Go***amn much of it that I think it should just be separated as its own thing even though it technically is Japanese cartoons or Chinese cartoons or Korean cartoons

Literally the longest still running anime is this thing called "sazae-san" and this don't even look like what we classify as anime today, and well I can't have that many complaints about it because it's old. and they can classify it as anime because well you can't objectify old anime because they were the creators of it if they want to classify it as that then they classified as that because literally anime is just the Japanese word for animation and that's why practically any Japanese cartoon is literally just Anime even though it's literally a cartoon. And this is the exact reason we have things like Doraemon, Samurai Pizza cats, shin-chan, and many others being classified as anime even though they legit look like half of the older American cartoons we have. And I'm going on on a whole rant about this just because it's like so weird, because I will happily classify anime as something else other than a cartoon even though it is grammatically incorrect. Like I'm pretty sure some people just started calling anime not a cartoon because they didn't want it to be associated with some baby thing, just like how some people started saying that Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh are cartoons because they didn't want to be associated with anime

Look hears my statement I believed avatar was a anime I was always told it was not so I looked it up it said it was not but I changes my mind and because when I made a other avatar last airbender anime meme somone told me in the chat that it's not a anime

Well it's drawn exactly in anime style so I don't see why it isn't
