No, you're putting words in my mouth, I am not saying deporting illegal immigrants is authotarian. I said digital ID as a way of tracking everyone is authoritarian and murdering immigrants at the border like Poland does is also authoritarian. The point I'm trying yo make is that if policies like digital ID are implemented, it could come in the form of border control, the government might at first advertise it as a way of border security but later use it to track everyone's move and use other excuses to violating the rights of people who aren't illegal immigrants such as legal immigrants and U.S. born citizens.
