Hatred is definitely the hardest boss in the game, but after seven initial tries I managed to beat him on a solo normal mode run. In the following months I have been able to get the timing for his attacks down almost perfectly.
It's a little more complex in a multiplayer run, but it is quite similar.
But like with both Cruel King and Bubonic Plant, Hatred can easily be figured out. All it takes is practice really. Even if you're at rock bottom, that might be the best thing for you. Because almost always, the only way you can go from rock bottom is up.
