Patriotism is a disease.

A song about wanting your rights (almost every IWW song) has so much meaning and depth to it. Patriotic songs are surface level depth and don't have any internal emotion.

Patriotic songs ARE about rights and pride. They show the strong love for one’s country and show deep emotions. IWW songs though, are just whining workers complaining about stuff
