Though i dont think mlg were necessarily with the same goal as today's brainrot. channels like lankybox are obviously profitting off kids attention spans to make money off and i dont recall seeing mlg ytps monetizing their stuff(i know about merch but its a different thing) it was just posting dumb shit for the sake of it
and even if its as brainrotting it was less predatory
