Sad too, as nowadays everybody, even toddlers, have a camera via their cell phones in their pocket.
Back in the day, tourists visiting the drab boring lake in Scatland looking for the monster had a bad tendency of leaving their camera at the hotel when they went to take a boat ride, and the boat got capsized by the Loch Ness Monster but then he rescued them one by one by using his neck to put them on his back and bring them to shore.
Now that everyone can take a selfie with the old bugger and post it on their daily Facebook status for the entire planet to instantaneously see, he's been nowhere to be seen. Such a tragedy.
