MI-6 had Hitler's astrologer on the payroll... They used that to delay the start of the campaign by a few weeks... But EVEN IF the Nazis had made it to Moscow - the Soviets would have prevailed in the long run. They'd moved their manufacturing east of the Urals, and could have done the same with their administration, if needed.

Interesting. I hadn't heard that. Another factor that helped the NatSoc operation fail was Japan -not- attacking Russia's east. Which of course enabled the major Soviet counterattack after the Germans initially whooped them good.

Yeah. I saw it on History Channel, a long ways back - so take it, for what it's worth. It seems plausible. Hitler and the Nazis were big on the Occult, and Psychic phenomena. So MI-6 got to his goto psychic, and got a delay - waiting for the right numerology or stars, and apparently it worked. 2 weeks delay, in the Summer/Fall, and a long slog through Ukraine and Belarus - meant freezing to death at Stalingrad, apparently.
