Elly May Clampett (played by Donna Douglas) of The Beverly Hillbillies. A running gag was her "critters," as she called them, a hodgepodge of domestic (dogs and cats) and wild (raccoons, opossums, skunks, even a chimpanzee) animals living in and around the house, including a swimming cat.
