the default text, or in nerd terminology, "placeholder text", is the text in an html text input box displayed before the user types anything. when the user starts typing something, the placeholder text goes away, allowing you to comment. if you were to press post comment without a comment, the text inside would be "Type a comment.." because the text starts out as that because of default text
imgflip does a check every time someone tries to post a comment that checks if the text is "Type a comment.." because if you don't type anything, it simply sends the placeholder text
so, if you type "Type a comment..", the system thinks that there is not comment because that is the placeholder text
