I understand that if stricter laws are put in, there could be minor escalation at first. However, this spike will die out sooner than later, and the crime rates will drop heavily overall. The only problem is when you don't continue those methods of crime laws, then all that crime bursts in and basically takes the country over. The only legitimate solution: harder punishments.
