As a Marxist who has engaged in hours upon hours of socialist discourse, questioned and researched even the most widely held beliefs surrounding geopolitics, history and economics (such as the DPRK being a “fascist monarchy” or Stalin being a “dictator”), have consistently heard the side of capitalists only for me to debunk them to the point where they resort to ad hominem, and read and understood the most famous socialist works, I can confirm I’m in the exact same category as some random kid who jams to Soviet music and feels a patriotic high for a moment.
