I lived across the street from 5 boys, and we were always burning stuff in a large fire pit in their backyard, or setting off whatever fireworks we could get our hands on. They had bows and arrows and the squirrels had to be careful. We also threw lawn darts at everything.

It was a long time ago :-)
We had fun in our own way. I had models that I had built of navy ships and airplanes and stuff. We put M-80’s in them and other toys, and blasted them to smithereens :-)
The fire pit was the thing we used most… once we had the fire going, we burned stuff from the house. If you have never seen it, you should check out burning an old Christmas tree. We almost lost out eyebrows watching it burn. Sure wouldn’t put a real tree in my house! Another stupid thing we did was toss a metal trash can lid at the power lines. BOOM! Yeah, I don’t recommend that one :-)
