only reason i would wanna lower it is bc puberty is coming at a lower and lower age as new generations pop up, and a teenager nowadays is a lot hornier than they would be a couple centuries ago. periods used to happen around 18-23. i got mine around 10. if teens are hornier nowadays and more likely to f**k, they shouldn’t get punished (as badly at the very least) for doing it. but adults should still not be allowed to have sex with minors
that’s actually why the legal age of consent in japan is 13. except people misinterpret the law and think it means a 13yo could f**k a 30yo, when really it only allows consensual sex with your own age group.

I feel like “kids are more horny nowadays” should be a reason not to lower age of consent.
