Every villain is the hero of their own story

Not every villain. Some people don't want to be heroes. For most every Thanos there is a psychopath who doesn't care what is right or wrong and simply desires evil. There just haven't been as many pure evils in media lately. I can't imagine why.

Also your example sucked. Because thanos was the hero of his own story. He saw himself as saving the universe from overpopulation, hunger poverty, equality.

Thanos was an example of someone who is the hero of his own story, ya dingus, as OPPOSED to the psychopath who has no concern for heroic action. It is a contrasting sentence, "for every *insert villain who IS the hero of their own story* there is an *insert villain who is not the hero of their own story.*" Can't even post a simple commentary on the degeneration of villains in modern media without someone going ham like you're attacking the very core of their being. I agree that many villians are heroes of their own story, but I see that saying too often, and I enjoy a good villain who doesn't think of themselves as heroic in any way.

I agree with that.

But next time get a better example like a cereal killer or something.

I was gonna do Thanos vs. John Wayne Gasey, but then decided I didn't know enough about John Wayne Gasey to be sure that he didn't think he was a good guy.

I am aware, I'm just point out that it is a bit of an overused trope lately.

Yeah, it's almost all the villans in the media. Where's the classic revenge plot, or psychopath that does it because they take pleasure in their evil acts.

That was the only point I was trying to make. I'm sorry if I came off as antagonistic. (Pardon that joke.)

Team Plasma has no morals. Maybe the grunts thought they were doing something good, but Ghetsis is pure evil.
