Actually all the ants you see on the surface of the ground are females and do not have any reproductive organs aside from a modified ovipositor which seconds as a stinger.
Male ants have wings, and when the time comes, all the males fly away to find queens, dig a hole, and create new colonies. So ants aren’t having sex in the grass. They’re digging holes and doing it underground.
