Xbox Series X has the same graphics and general speed with similar amount of exclusives to a PS5 (3 to 4) and is now cheaper plus gamepass and their bethesda buyout paying off as the fruits are soon coming, and same with the Activision-Blizzard deal

Also its not because of the chip shortage for them doing this, they thought that people would gladly pay for a more expensive console
