Reason for the sudden change

After the collectors final battle with zanthor his armor was severely damaged. So he realized there are some upgrades he could make

As you saw it is much easier to put on because it can simply emerge from the crystal.

The previous armor was put on similarly to iron man mk 42

As for combat

The wings can now function completely separate from the rest of the suit

They can be used as, well, wings for flight stabilization. And flying swords, similar t o the terraprisma

He has figured out how to infuse the properties of cold iron into plasma blades

He calls it... Cold plasma (very creative lol)
In case you don't know, cold iron creates wounds that cannot heal

The only way to heal a cold iron would is to reverse time

He still has the murder drone inspired claws. Now they are also made using cold plasma

With the new way the armor is put on he can now use a larger variety of weapons

The armor can simply shift into the needed shape

Also I forgot to mention
It is still made with the same beastium vibranium alloy but now with a bit of venom symbiote in with it for it's shape changing properties

Much simpler than nanotech
And in some ways better

Also he fixed some flawes in the original genetic code for the symbiote

Such as it's weakness to high temperatures and high pitched sound

He also made it apply to the same life extending spells and artifacts that the collector uses

I'm not sure if your caught up on the lore but basically this guy is meant to be the most powerful being in this stream
