The sad thing is that we Bird People call them "Bird Choppers" ~ for good reason, they kill around half a million birds per year. Add that to cats, which kill several billion birds per year, they have bigger problems than most of you.

As for green energy
If you looked into it, you would find that nuclear energy is one of the best options out there. It kinda gets a bad rap, because it produces radioactive waste.
Here is the facts
One ton of natural uranium can produce more than 40 million kilowatt-hours of electricity. This is equivalent to burning 16,000 tons of coal or 80,000 barrels of oil.
We also know how to safely dispose of the waste.
If you want I will expand on this topic and provide resources.

I'm not a fan of the big fans. But nuclear is stupid. Go ask the people of Fukushima and Chernobyl. They'll have very different opinions about nukes. Also, would you want the waste store within a couple hundred miles of your home. Do I feel safe living near a nuke plant? no. The original nuke plants are getting older and older. And we've seen how America's infrastructure is holding up. Or rather, falling down. Surfside, Miami. Or, the bridge in Minneapolis. To mention just a few. There's been many bridges failing or near failure. Remember that terrible bridge collapse in Italy. Now imagine a nuke plant have a critical failure. It's not impossible. Therefore, terrifying.

Nuclear is actually very safe.
People learn from our mistakes, and the events of Fukushima and Chernobyl are very unlikely to happen again. The plants are very well maintained, and only need refilling every two years. That is a big Pro right there(See more below)

Well, if you got attacked by a rabbit(it has happened) would your opinion about rabbits change? Just because things have happened do not mean they will happen again. Being paranoid about it is like worrying that an earthquake might happen, or a mountain near your home might erupt.

Nuclear power plants have a functional life of 60-80 years. The ones we have are fine. Also, they are run by scientists who know what they are doing. Bridges are a different topic altogether. Bridge designers & designs are a problem right now, I will give you that. Nuclear is not.

About your question on the waste: Right now, all of the nuclear waste that a power plant generates in its entire lifetime is stored on-site in dry casks. The scientists make sure it is not where it could contaminate civilization.

Well, they are smarter than you on the subject. But your choice is yours to make.
