the anime is nichijou.I imagine the humor isn't for everyone though. It's also more comedy/slice of life than pure comedy. Nichijou is very popular even today and is on Docomo's streaming sites in Japan as well as syndicated on AT-X, a cable channel. So Nichijou has been popular since it's release and has been making money for the rights holders via streaming and tv syndication for many years, which many other anime can't claim, and yet almost no one here knows the origin of the gif, I mean what the actual fck.
