Hey Andrew! I have a history of fighting on imgflip. I want to know how to stop.

I'll share something I learned a long time ago, it would probably help to just scroll by content or users you might not like.

Have you ever had bad history?

There have been a few times on Imgflip when after I've helped an unpopular user, an unhappy group will appear at my doorstep.

I help a lot of users, a negative reaction to that is really just a once every year or two kind of thing.

I help a lot of people too, but I only get negative reactions. It's like they think I'm a bad user. Also I used to hate imgflip mods because I thought they were toxic. They ignore my flags, delete my comments that don't even break the ToS. And when I ask for help, they usually don't help me. I myself know how to moderate. Although I'm not old enough to be a site mod, I know how to do it.
Here are some tips

-Delete comments that will start a fight
-Disapprove upvote begging memes, as they will only get negative feedback
-Look at a user's history. If an image they submitted was reposted in diff streams, then don't feature it.
-Delete comments that stalk other users
-Disapprove discriminatory memes
-If you believe the image is a repost, search the image and if it was somewhere else, then it's a repost.
-Don't immediately ban users. Just give them a warning first.

Hey Andrew ! I used to hate site mods because I deemed them "toxic" which most of them are. They ignore my flags, delete my comments for no reason, and they are just plain toxic. I sometimes wish I was a site mod so I can show them how to actually moderate, but I am not old enough and I'm prone to fight with others. But as far as I know, I know which comments are going to start a fight, I know which images to disapprove, and I know which users to ban. I really need you to tell the mods that they are kinda toxic.

Yo, do you work with imgflip? If so, can you please update the ‘featured memes’ section because imgflip’s ‘featured memes’ section are from like 4 years ago.

I believe the process where templates become Imgflip Featured Memes is automatic and driven solely by usage/popularity.

Here is an example of a new Featured Meme that probably started life as a User Template:

I believe that the algorithm should feature trending templates and not popular templates so new memes/templates can be easier to find. That’s just my opinion, though.

I recommend making a meme about that and submitting it to the Imgflip stream. Sometimes ideas submitted and discussed there get turned into reality. It does actually happen and has happened.
