I don't know if it's just a trick
of the light but that water looks NASTY, bro.
It collects a bunch of crud in there sometimes--
rust, cutting oil residue & whatnot.
That reminds me of a really funny story-
We had this guy working for us, --total A-hole most of the
time-- working on a remodel in this dept. store in Missouri-
He pulled a cap off a piece of pipe on a system that was
supposed to have been drained... it wasn't. The floor he was
working on was still in use, and a customer filmed him as he
got doused with water, knocked his glasses off, blew his
dentures out, I kid you not, man. It was a total mess. The guy
put the video on youtube, but took it down a few days later, I
guess our guy either bribed or threatened him XDDDDD.

Yeah I've done some forensic investigations on electrical rooms where the sprinklers went off (somebody hit a head with a pipe or a stud or something, gotta love the drywall guys right?) and that water was black as all get out. No fire or soot involved, just straight up nastiness from buildup and corrosion inside the sprinkler pipe. Nobody should be fooled into thinking that it's good drinking water by any means, nasty stuff but it does its job well! That's a funny story, it's awesome when the guy that nobody likes gets his karma, lol!

You ever seen The Matrix? That one scene where the bomb goes off in the elevator lobby on ground level and the whole skyscraper gets flooded by the sprinkler system always bothered me.
