Some say this stream is just a “porn stream,” and while that may be true to an extent (we sure don’t shy away from porn around here), it’s much more than that.
I ask again: What is porn anyway?
A very smart ImgFlipper on a meme here drew the distinction for me between “porn” (not okay) and “pin-up” images (okay per ImgFlip TOS), and I think that’s a helpful category to roll with.
A “pin-up” image is something like the above. Sexy, but everything’s covered. You’ll find plenty of this kind of content here, and on other sexy streams.
(For the record: I’ve never posted or approved anything here that shows bare genitalia. That’s obviously porn.)
But there is still a gray area between “pin-up”
and “porn” where content may or may not be okay. The Global MODs have still unfeatured some sexy content from here before and didn’t give me a great explanation as to why.
Since then, I’ve been careful not to post or approve images or gifs that vaguely show “too much” and have mostly not had a problem.
Here are some very informal observations which represent my best guess at determining ImgFlip’s editorial stance on what constitutes “porn”:
—Bare genitalia or exposed female boobs are not okay (easiest call)
—Bare asses of either sex seem to be okay
—Female nipples through clothing is *sometimes* okay, sometimes not
—Even if the genitalia is cropped out, images and gifs of certain sexual activities can still be considered “porn” and unfeatured, but ONLY IF the cropped image still shows “too much” (difficult case)
Cropped porn is a valid meme sub-genre in my opinion, and plenty of it exists on this site (in both sexual and humorous contexts), but it’s still subject to being unfeatured at the MODs’ discretion.
