no, because that back square, and those two half squares are still part of the drawer, those two red lines would only illustrate where the little rails are, right?

Let me further explain:

Ordinary drawers would occupy the side squares, but not the corner square.

This diagonal drawer would leave the triangles farthest from the corner square unoccupied.

Both designs would leave the same amount of space unoccupied, which totals to one square. At least an ordinary design would allow room for a sink.

It’s physically impossible that the drawer shown in your GIF occupies those corners. If it really did occupy all of the space, it would get stuck. Come on, I don’t even need to learn physics in high school to figure this out!

No, that’s a stove. It would be very dumb to not put the sink on a corner because you can’t do much else with a corner. Good thing my kitchen has a sink in the corner!

Took me a sec to realize what this is, and i looked at the gif, and go***amn it your right, well at least you wont have it be 2 drawers banging into each other all the time. :/

But one diagonal drawer keeps you from using the drawers on both sides, and more importantly, you can’t have a sink on the corner.
