My dad and I once stopped traffic on a busy hwy to let a family of ducks sadly cross. They'd have been roast had we not done it. But we learned later about someone doing it and going to jail for illegally stopping traffic :/
You both deserve to be commended for your actions. Going to jail for it doesn't that seem a little extreme? Kind of shows where the politicians put their priorities.
