I pounded some Sam Adams Oktoberfest, that is my all time favorite beer. They say a pork chop in every bottle/can. Sounds good for a black Friday meal. :)
Despite having been a Chef for many years, this was my first time cooking duck, so it was experimental. I've always thought of duck as being pricey, but I found it for 2.49lb, which is cheaper than ground beef lol. Next time I'm going to roast it, then finish it in the crock pot so it gets more tender. Yeah duck is very fatty, but that's where all the flavor comes from.
