Pretty much kids in general, though my daughter doesn't even want a cell phone. Great gif bro!

Thanks. Just one I've had in my collection of GIFs and pics. Wish my old external drive hadn't crashed. Gigs of stuff there. I've got much of it one CDs and DVDs, but no where near all of it.

I've been doing this for over 20 years, so I can imagine. Started mostly saving text, (dial up back then) but still had a good selection of images. Since I got cable internet 15 years ago...

I'm sure you've got me beat lol. I've only been at this getting close to a couple years now. But I've got over 13,000 creations just on here, most of which are images I'm sure I have saved. Plus there are all the transparent images I have made, I'm trying to get them in a separate folder, I'm going alphabetically and am at G now lmao! It's funny I've always been a writer, since childhood really, but when I found this meme site a whole new world opened up with adding and making pictures along with it ;)

I wanted to be a cartoonist when I was a kid, so drawing and writing went hand in hand. One reason I'm as good as I am. Comic strips were good teachers, but comic BOOKS... If you are familiar with animated films, you're familiar with story boards (also used in many ad campaigns) that block out the action in a film or video. I treat memes the same way. That's how my Diner of Despair series, or most of the multi-panel templates here are. I don't have any formal art training other than high school, but I do well. Here's a short tutorial I did a few years back on Imgur.

Sometimes old cartoons can also be used for memes if you give them new captions. Amazing how many cartoonists use this method.

Yeah I grew up on the far side by Gary Larson if I have his name right lol. Had just about every book he put out. You have me beat on the training, I've been doing this through trial and error lol. Some of the best gifs I've had on here were made with cartoon style frame by frame creation. Still have a lot to learn.. but that's life, if you aren't learning you aren't living ;) I am really glad you joined imgflip ;)

Outside of school, my study has been observation and reading. In the 60's, I watched some short films from Disney, Warner Bros, Walter Lantnz and other cartoon giants about the animation process. What really hooked me, though, was a Program called Discovery '6# (the last number correlating with the year it was broadcast) It was ABCs attempt at educational Television for kids before Action for Childrens Television got into the picture. Afternoon program with different topics every day. They did an excellent one on Animation. I kept all of that information tucked away in my brain, next to my porn information. (my cousin calls me a data packrat) Fast forward to the 21st century and I decided to put that data to work. I tried a couple of animated GIF programs and started animating. Usually a 4 to 10 frame animation, but I have done larger (largest had over 400 frames) I hit the animation groups fast and furious, and surprised them with the skills I had. I tore apart other members animations, frame by frame, to see how they did it. I learned how to trim the size of a GIF down from 1 megabyte to 35K, and why they looked better. I took a rip (video to gif) from Gone with the Wind, and streamlined it adding my own little something. This is what I got. I'll post this tomorrow, but https://i.imgflip.com/1rf34g.gif is how it turned out.

Wow you have like Socrates type information tucked away in that brain of yours! I have learned a lot about memes from him, in fact I have learned more from him by far than from any other source of information about memes. I believe that you are in the same class as him and another person I could learn a lot from. That gif is so smooth I love it. This is my most recent frame by frame gif creation <a href="imgflip.com/gif/1nvk5i";><img src="" It did really good as you can see if you click on the link. But I believe I could have made it run smoother with possibly more frames, I believe it was around 25 frames when I finished it. Anyway... I love this website so much! Being able to converse with people such as yourself just opens my mind even further. We are so lucky to have this platform and be able to toss ideas back and forth. Whoever thought this site up is somebody I would truly like to thank :)

Thanks. Meme type entertainment was pretty much an early foray into using images on the internet. I've had several websites over the years, starting with the award winning (but unprofitable - go figure) Church of SPAM. My last site was called PUNography. It started out as a humor porn site. Yeah, anything goes. Problems with my ISP caused me to drop it, but I picked it up later with more mainstream type memes and GIFs. Most were safe for the workplace. I've been sprinkling some of those and my old GIFs in my posts here and there. This is one that featured a few days ago. Very subtle animation: you have to look close to catch it: https://i.imgflip.com/1r4nk8.gif

My wife and I were separated when our kids were young, so I took her to court to set the child support I was supposed to pay. Since our oldest was 12, the judge had me pay more support for her than for our youngest daughter or son.

Yeah. Raising boys is easy. A few pairs of pants, shirts, underwear, socks, shoes and underwear. Girls, multiply what you buy boys times three for the first girl, and just double for the younger ones. Add in hygiene products for "that time", bras, panty hose (have to get a new pair or two nearly every week) make up, skin care medicine for zits, and so on. And, if you're smart, either a chastity belt or birth control pills.
