I could practice for a billion years and never reach that skill level.

My theory on how the Irish defeated the Vikiings. After a day of hard battle, they called their enemy over to get drunk with them. Soon they were regular drinking buddies, and the Irish introduced them to local females that led to marriages. As everyone knows, you never win a fight with an Irish wife.

Being of German and Scots-Irish heritage I always say I'm doomed to a life of alcoholism. A regimented but quite cheery alcoholism.

German, Dutch, Scot, Irish, English, Welsh, and Scandanavian. I'm lucky. I've got two sibs that are recovering alchoholics, one that passed away but was a functional alcoholic, and the rest learned to take it or leave it. I can sit and have a beer, and do just that: A beer. Drives alcoholic friends crazy

I've managed to keep it to one weekend night a week. Usually just pleasantly buzzed. 17 years ago I was hit by a car while trying to beat it across a crosswalk after a wet evening of poker at a friend's. Got a rod in my leg and plates in my chin. And a heightened sense of trying not to be stupid about my drinking.

I like to keep control of myself. One thing I did discover, though, was that a single beer was always the best way to go when I was performing. One beer before the show to relax me was all it took, so that I got into the habit of drinking one beer and then switching to coffee or soda.

Performing, of course. :) I find that if I tell myself I'm going to control my drinking of a night then I tend to drink more; conversely, if I decide I'm going to have more than a few then I tend to cut back. Weird reverse thing my brain does to me.

The key was one beer before a performance. Even after I was done for the night, though, I didn't drink alcohol. Just my habit. I did have a couple nature boys say they didn't have ANY type of "drug" (Alcohol, caffeine, tobacco) before a show. But to say one method works on everyone. No

I know. Snagged it from a video. Some folks say that it's fake. They are usually the same people that believe that Hollywood explosions are real. I don't care, it was a good video.

I wasn't sure how it was done, but that's a possibility. I figured it was a good GIF, and even if it's faked, the guy shows talent as a juggler and a showman.

Yeah, not a big fan of snopes.

Snopes is a good starting point for checking stories. It gives sources which fake news sites don't. I check a multiple of sites, as well as Snopes' sources. Still, they've got enough credibility that chain e-mails often refer to them, often with a link that is supposed to support the text of the e-mail, because who bothers checking sources. Of course, clicking on the link tells the exact opposite of what the e-mail says.
