Inorder to move back towards your own side in Checkers you have to have Kinged or Queened ones which they didn't have yet cause they had just started. I'm getting to annoyed about this being it's only checkers and they're kids.........
The irony of the caption is, she cheated. His home row is still full, She can't jump backward until that piece reaches his home row and is kinged(or queened).
