And what happens when X-rays and gamma Rays hit a metal craft? (hint: put some poptarts in the microwave without removing them from the pouch). Steel is steel, an absolute vacuum is a absolute vacuum, water boils at room temperature in a vacuum...and how can you thermally equalize in an absolute vacuum? To where would the heat from the radiation dissipate? What would be the medium by which they could transfer the heat away from the craft while an absolute vacuum? It's seems they would have ever increasing radiation, and thus ever increasing heat to deal with, with no way to cool down by creating an exothermic reaction. Also: what protocols did they have for micrometeroid punctures for their craft and suits? A 1 gram micrometeroid is commonplace, and at 20,000mph...would devestate even the most high tech kevlar of the day (1969?)
???????????? these are serious questions, hopefully can draw a serious response. Thanks in advance @derpistheword
