at the top of BS, your swing thought should be to "bump left and open hips 15* ...do NOT exert arms /shoulders ...just drop the clubhead onto the ball

note how close the left arm is to chest in the DS ...and yet at impact the left arm and shaft are aligned in a straight line (not like address where there is approx a 10*angle )

The trigger to the downswing is the transitional bump left and R.E.D. ... consider these key moves to be the detonator of the DS ...all other components of the DS must be on "auto pilot"

Notice how golfer holds the Lateral side bend right all the way to the top of follow thru ...imperative !!

Note how the DS starts with legs and hips ...hips stop at 45* open and this whips the shoulder girdle / arms thru contact ...very similar to the pull back motion of the elbow / wrist when cracking a bullwhip ...As the arms go to the SLR ...the hips resume their rotation ...however this is just a dispersion of energy (to avoid using muscles to arrest the follow thru)

The key is to stop the hips at 45* open ...impact occurs and the hips start rotating again ....do NOT stop the hips at square 'coz you'll just throw the club from the top (cast)
