Our power Company In Alaska had wind surveys done and the results showed not enough steady wind , and wind generators would be affected by extreme Cold, Ice, and snow so it was not feasible . Solar panels work in summer , but winter is when the power demand soars and there is not enough daylight to keep up and it takes massive storage capacity battery banks even for 1 home... The other problem is snow covering the panels some areas get 20-30 ft of snow .
