the slight shift left should be done at the top of the back swing ...golfer in GIF is not fully wound up but it still adequately shows how both the narrowing of the swing radius and the shift left should happen ...however, it does not show how the swing plane slightly shallows out from the top ...this is a key move that must be incorporated into the DS as well
