This reminds me of a story my dad told me, when he was about 16 a family was in town visiting a few doors down and one of the kids grabbed his bike off my dads lawn, and before he could get away on it my dad caught up to him and punched him in the back of the head, sending him to the ground and splitting the skin on his knee, and the other kids in that family said that he had no right to "attack" him, that he was doing nothing wrong. They were obviously from a place where property rights had no meaning.
