Black Lives Matter is a slogan to remind people of police brutality, it has nothing to do with conditions of povert. I personally don't hate all cops, but it certainly seems like there are way too many that are very fast to attack black people. Kapernick made a statement because he feels like there is still racism in America, (there is a lot of it). That doesn't make him a whiny brat, and just because he isn't actively oppressed doesn't take away the right to not rise for the anthem if he doesn't want to. He is standing up for the people that don't have so much of a voice in America, I don't see why it is a bad thing.
