Exactly. It's not a bad game. Simple, easy level design is not bad level design. Just because the game isn't for you doesn't make it a bad game. Sonic Forces does a lot of things right, although I'll admit it has a good bit of automation and straight lines, but to be fair, you can break the automation most of the time, or just stop moving forward and look around.
