Though the original meme history is unknown, the art was made by Torarunaa (@LauriYaoi on Twitter, now @torarunaa) and archived by Predaking2000 on Fur Affinity on March 7th, 2023. The meme's first recorded appearance, “ah hell nah spicybog do doing a furry”, was on the 11th of the same month. The more popularized version, "The goofball always gets the hot goth chick", was first recorded on May 2nd of 2023. And the restored version was made by me yesterday, May 12th, 2025.
