"Stupidity has a habit of getting its way" Template

From the infamous 1983 TV Movie, "The Day After", where two doctors are discussing the coming threat of Nuclear War and how humanity shows no signs of alleviating the situation, hence one of them just states that stupidity always finds a way to make it's intentions bear fruit. This can be used when a coming threat is evident and how the subject in question brought upon themselves.
