In 1993 Amado Carillo fuentes doubled his worth in just one day when the exchange rate of the Mexican peso collapsed against the US dollar. As most of his income was comming from sales in the US which were collected in US dollars, the crisis gave him a huge bost, doubling his revenues and worth from his illegal business. The meme should be used when someone, following a shady business logic, managed to double his investment.
