On June 4th, 2019, the Emerald Belles were the first high school kickline team to compete on America's Got Talent. Unfortunately, they were eliminated in the quarterfinals, and a kid named Kodi Lee won instead just because he had special needs and an emotional backstory. I don't feel that it's fair that they give the Golden Buzzer to kids just for having an emotional backstory as opposed to actual talent.
