In the 1989 movie "Erik the Viking," the city of High Brazil is destroyed in a spectacular fashion, visibly collapsing and flooding as it sinks beneath the ocean. However, despite the very obvious destruction going on around him, the city's leader (Terry Jones) insists that everything is fine even as he is visibly drowning. This image would be best used for situations in which someone is trying to ignore or deny the existence of a very obviously-real problem.
