Would his job be available then Template

From "Firefly" episode "The Train Job", the lead character is making up a story about coming to town for a job to the sheriff. He is told his contact killed himself months ago. He asks the sheriff if his contact's job would be available. Normal use would be the top panel, describing an unfortunate event that killed some other person. The bottom panel, the person who is desperate for work asks if that person's job would be available.
