I have alts but I try to use them in a principled manner. I never upvote my own memes or comments, or comment on my own memes trying to make them look more busy. But I do sometimes see things that look highly suspicious, like a relatively new/unknown user commenting on another new/unknown users meme, but not commenting on anyone else's meme. I believe it when Socrates and RayDog say they don't have alts. From personal experience, using alts is a lot of work, and detracts from the primary account. One thing I enjoyed a lot when I first joined ImgFlip is the meme comment chains, when two users are online, responding to each other in a chain. Using alts interrupts that flow, because timeliness is a big part of keeping that chain going, and if you switched to a different account, you don't get timely notifications from Imgflip when a user responds to your comment. So I guess is my point was you won't have 10 accounts on the leaderboard run by a single user, and it won't be an enjoyable experience to try to do that. I don't worry about points, my accounts are theme-based, RayCat is an example of that.
