"Originality" - you're definitely not doing it right.

I talking about people who post things like "Dies-Gets reincarnated as himself" a meme everyone saw hundreds of times yet it still makes the front page. This is like Star Wars 7 getting an Oscar and scoring high on originality. Other people make really funny memes and only get 10-15 likes. Thus what is the point of being creative here? Why not just search google images and copy&paste picks from there? I`m not saying there is no original content here,but whats up with all the obvious reposting?
