If you think the post office is actually okay, you're socialist.

America and Israel are the two biggest socialist states in the world, and they're doing fine. Pure communist or capitalist states don't - and should not - exist. There's a balance. Swing too much one way or the other, and you're in trouble. Which is why the most successful countries play both sides.

But America will cling to its 1% right up to the gates of doom. Everyone seems to be fine with corporate socialism but not individual "socialism" for themselves, even though both have existed for 100 years and more. You're confusing communism with socialism. Socialism is a blend, and all good countries are a blend. I love how people who don't even know what socialism is are deathly afraid of it. It's like saying you're afraid of department stores and then walking straight into a Wal-mart. lol

It's unfortunate that you would even suggest this. Because, based on your logic, the US is doomed. Other Federal Republics (for the uneducated, a government system just like Socialism is a form of government), include Venezuela (ouch), Brazil, Pakistan, South Sudan. Most socialist states are dictatorships as America is one of the only nations stupid enough to openly embrace the idea of socialism.

It's the natural progression from a failing capitalist state, but it need not be a dictatorship under a true democracy.
