This was advice that was given me when i came to the site. This is not an attempt to beg for upvotes. If you feel it is. Then do not vote. Just leave it for those who need the advice

Sounds cheesy, but there's probably some truth to it. If you encourage people and make friendly comments on their memes, they might reciprocate.

But even if it doesn't lead to anything, it's still a better attitude than the entitlement mentality ("why aren't my memes on the front page yet?" "my memes are so much better/more original" etc) some people have .
