Not sure if you're aware, but taxes have been around since before Bernie's campaign, and I doubt you are earning half a million dollars a year to actually feel the Bern.

Don't assume to know what's in my pocket; class warfare benefits no one. I don't discuss my income with my friends, let alone someone I don't know. I don't mind having a civilized discussion with someone has different views, I actually like to hear opposing viewpoints when conveyed respectfully but judging from the condescending tone of your comments, I doubt that is what you came here to do.

You can assume most people don't earn half mil a year and be very correct. If you take that personally, you are over compensating. Your meme & comments show a completely uninformed view of income brackets and your own country.

we are all being taxed into oblivion. It is like death by a thousand paper cuts. Our politicians have become extremely creative in finding ways to extract money from all of us, and most Americans don’t even realize what is being done to them. By the time it is all said and done, a significant portion of the population ends up paying more than half of what they earn to the government. Yet despite all of this oppressive taxation, our local governments, our state governments and our federal government are all absolutely drowning in debt. When the federal income tax was originally introduced a little more than 100 years ago, most Americans were taxed at a rate of only 1 percent. But once they get their feet in the door, the social planners always want more. Our tax code has exploded in size. We have roughly 100 different taxes we pay every year. . . and thats us little guys,.... who dont make $500K.

It always sounds good,.... but the tax code NEVER changes for those effected the most. We have such a complicated tax system,... its a rip off. Death taxes etc are so BS in my book,.. especially on elderly who have paid taxes their entire life. It gets almost disgusting,... all the taxes that are hidden, know what I mean bro?

The emotions that Bernie and Obama stir up when citing "income inequality" are nothing more than manipulation to make the poor, average or disaffected to like they are fighting for them and to garner their votes. They are not the cure for capitalism!

And no, we will NEVER be able to agree that the system is "rigged." That's just a different "man" trying to hold you down, but not "the man" if you get my meaning. As far as "redistributing the wealth" can we agree that that under your ideals of "fairness" that you should be willing to "redistribute the effort and sacrifice" that the wealthy put in to create their wealth?

If the system wasn't rigged, there would not be any homeless. Rich get richer, poor get poorer, Bernie is about trying to reduce that gap.

I don't see a an over regulated tax code as part of economic equailty,... unless its the same for everyone. Anything that is different in "brackets"... is divisive. One tax,... across the board,... and godbye IRS! =)

If we can agree the system is rigged in favor of the rich, then we can agree it is called inequality. Removing their tax breaks and distributing that wealth back to those who need it is moving towards equality. It's amazing that very few Americans can fathom this, when it is established in other developed countries. America is very sheltered on global economic awareness, and those things you mention so passionately will stay in place if you keep voting republican. And that's exactly what they want.

Never truer words spoken bro! If everyone redistributed what they worked for,... sto those who will not,.. there would be no incentive to put extra effort into what you do because there would be no reward. Your reward,... would go to the person who put in the least effort. America did not become the most powerful country on earth in such a short time using those economic priciples. You work hard,.. put in the effort,... you succeed. You put in minimal effort,... you just get by,.. thats how it works.

Half the class studied for the test...half didn't. Half got A's and half got F's. Socialists believe everybody should get a C! The half that studied now have no incentive going forward. Next test, nobody studies because their is no incentive to acheive since it all gets thrown in the communal bucket. Now everybody gets an F. Socialism is an ideological dream, that in reality, is nothing more than a race to the bottom! The biggest thing it creates is mediocrity and dependancy. Where is our socialist friend now?

This is why socialism cannot work in a society such as ours where the non producers have been on their butts for too long. . and drawing welfare is better than a $35K - $40K / yr job,.. . there is "no incentive" to work when they get more than that in benefits for free!
