Considering I live in a state that has voted Republican for at least the last 10 elections, and it was not a close call at any point, my vote really wouldn't matter anyways.

Voting serves two purposes. It upvotes one person. While it downvotes the other person. Please vote in the elections

I shouldn't have to compromise my values and the values I would like to have in a president in order to vote for 1 of 2 candidates that I wouldn't really want either one in. Plus living in a state that hasn't voted democrat in the last 12 elections, I am sure that my vote wouldn't matter since I would either be doing a write in vote (which has never won an election) or just go republican.

There are more than 2 to vote for

By the time the elections come around, there are only 2 people who have a chance of winning, the main democrat and main republican front runners. The last time a democrat or republican didn't win an election was 1850, Millard Fillmore a member of the Whig party, which was a main political party before the formation of the new republican party. There has always been 2 main people to vote for that is on the ballet for every single state. Some times there is a 3rd independent party, but there hasn't been a 3rd party candidate elected president that I am aware of. Those who have been a 3rd party member normally got elected after changing to republican or democrat.

Name 1 candidate in the last 30 years that was not a front runner for republicans or democrats that actually stood a chance of winning and wouldn't have been a wasted vote on.
