The only downside to this is that some people will think your goals are not serious. It is worth it though as these are very effective tactics. People can usually be made to understand what you have achieved as well. Most importantly, skipping that humor would take all the joy out of doing these things-not that they would not still be worthwhile, but you may as well have a good time doing them. Have plenty of humor in what you do. It makes life more enjoyable for yourself and those working with you. It also goes over better with the public.
